Guwahati, March 22: In another proud moment for the region, Assamese film Dooronir Nirola Poja is all set to be screened in Bhutan at the “Festival of Assam” that is being organised from March 22-24.
The festival is organised as a cultural exchange initiative between Assam and neighbouring nation Bhutan.
MLAs and senior officials from the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Assam are part of this festival. In total, four Assamese films shall be screened during the festival.
It may be mentioned that the film was also the opening film at the screening of films under the North Eastern Quality Improvement Pragramme (NEQIP) of All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) held at the Dr Bhupen Hazarika Regional Government Film and Television Institute, Kahilipara, Guwahati on March 19.
“We are really happy that an indie venture has reached this far” says director of the film Dhruva J Bordoloi in a rendezvous with Team UniTreed. “It feels good when dedication and hard work pays off” he added.
