Tourism in Pobitora gets a boost

Guwahati, March 29: Assam Tourism Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday inaugurated a new two-storied complex in Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary in a bid to boost tourism in the region.

The new two-storied complex comprises of dormitory, kitchen and library among other facilities to ensure proper boost in tourism of the region

Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain, Jagiroad MLA Pijush Hazarika were also present at the event among others.

Located in Morigaon and at a distance of about 50 kms by road from Guwahati, Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary boasts of Nature and Wildlife. It is home to the famous one-horned rhinoceros, wild buffalo, over 350 species of birds among others.
