Third phase of Gunotsav starts in Assam

Guwahati, January 03: The third phase of Gunotsav in Assam started today. Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma requested his colleagues to join in large numbers and make the third phase a great success yet again, like the earlier phases.

On Day one of the third phase of Gunotsav, state Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal visited No 2 Garmur Sadar Lower Primary School in Majuli district.

Children of the school interacted with the CM during the visit.

The initiative is designed on the lines of Gunotsav in Gujarat, which was introduced by PM Narendra Modi during his tenure as the CM of Gujarat.

It must be noted that 1,672 schools secured A+ grade, 5,480 got A grade, 6,048 were rated with B grade, 3,638 with C grade and 1,974 schools were given D grade in the second phase of Gunotsav in Assam.
