Guwahati, July 11: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Wednesday ceremoniously distributed appointment letters to 90 new recruits of Special Rhino Protection Force (SRPF), which has been formed for the protection of one-horned rhinoceros at the Kaziranga National Park.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that the newly recruited constables will be provided advanced training to tackle all sorts of situations. He also stressed upon developing this force as one of the most dynamic one, by including the spirit of smart policing and personality development.
“Protecting our state’s pride, the one-horned rhino, is our commitment. This force has been formed for the same and we hope that rhino poaching shall be nulled in the state” Sonowal said.
