Guwahati, May 01: The Indian Meteorological Deoartment (IMD) on April 30 predicted widespread thunderstorm activity in Northeast India in the next three to four days. Thunderstorms accompanied by gusty wind are likely to hit isolated parts of Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura.
Thunderstorms accompanied with squall and hail are very likely at isolated places of the seven northeastern states on May 01, said the IMD.

The IMD has also predicted heavy rainfall in isolated parts of Assam and Meghalaya.
