Bokakhat, June 13: Incessant rains has led to the overflow of Diphlu river in Karbi Anglong which has affected parts of central Assam.
The worst affected area is Bokakhat where water is flowing over the National Highway 37 as a result of which Upper and Lower Assam has been disconnected.
As per reports, the water levels have been rising continuously.
The administration is presently controlling the traffic along the highway to prevent risks.
Electricity supply has also been stopped in the region.
