Morigaon | CM Sonowal unveils Grand Hornbill Park

Morigaon, July 08: As part of the 69th Van Mahotsav celebrations, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal unveiled the Grand Hornbill Park in Amsoi Gate (Morigaon).

The CM also planted saplings on the occasion.The Mahotsav is being held at Silchang, Morigaon.

Sonowal also distributed saplings to school students and urged them to participate in plantation drives for a clean and green Assam.

Accompanied by environmentalist Jadav Payeng, the CM felicitated Forest Department officials Jogesh Das, Noram Baghlary and Bombyshwar Gogoi for their exemplary efforts in preservation and conservation of forest resources.

“Numerous challenges await us in our bid to conserve our ecology. Despite all challenges, we must keep our rich forest resources intact. I urge all citizens to contribute towards the Green Assam movement by helping us plant 10 crore saplings across the state” said Sonowal.
