Guwahati, May 27: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal yesterday inaugurated the Lakwa Replacement Power Project at Maibella in Charaideo district.
The project site consists of seven interconnected Gas Engine Generating Sets which will boost state-of-the-art technology driven power generation in the region.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Sonowal said “The power project will boost our goal to achieve self-reliance in power generation, promote industrialisation, generate employment avenues and further PM Narendra Modi ji’s vision of providing uninterrupted power to all households”.
A public interaction session was also held at Maibella where members of different sections of the society were present. Issues of public interest were discussed, with the CM felicitating representatives who took part.
