Guwahati youth among 11 to represent India in Indo-Pak arm wrestling competition

Guwahati, May 24: In another proud moment for the state, an Assamese youth shall be representing India in the Indo-Pak arm wrestling competition that is scheduled in August 14 and 15, 2018.

A total of 11 arm wrestlers shall be representing India in the event.

Pranjit Saikia, who hails from Uzanbazar, Guwahati is all set to represent India in the event that is to be held in Dubai.

He has also been selected for the 40th World Arm Wrestling Championship to be held in Turkey from October 13-22, 2018.

It may be mentioned here that Pranjit is five times National Champion and achieved the All India Rank 1 in 2017. He was placed 6th in Open Asian Arm Wrestling held in Kazakhstan, in the 85 Kg catergory.

He graduated from KC Das Commerce College in 2017.
