GATE Hospital conducts weekly media clinic at Guwahati Press Club

Guwahati, July 14: City based GATE Hospital, on July 13, conducted weekly media OPD clinic at Guwahati Press Club, where Dr Rajib Kr Bokriwal and Dr Ranjan Das (medicine specialists) offered free consultations to the participants.

Organised for the benefit of press club members along with their dependents, the health camp also facilitated the participants to check their weight, blood pressure and sugar levels.

Nurses Joyshri Basumatary and Sima Sikdar and health executive Mintu Ranjan Dutta extended supports in the camp.

Till date, the press club initiative has been supported by Down Town Hospitals, GNRC Hospitals, Apollo Hospitals, SIMS Hospital, Medanta Hospital, Manipal Hospital, Fortis Hospital, Dispur Hospital, Ayursundra Super Specialty Hospital, Hayat Hospital, Excelcare Hospital, Health City Hospital, Sun Valley Hospital, Rahman Hospital among others

‘The Magnificent Seven’ screened at press club

The Magnificent Seven, a 1960 American western film directed by John Sturges and starring Yul Brynner, Eli Wallach, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, Robert Vaughn, Brad Dexter, James Coburn and Horst Buchholz was screened on July 13 at Guwahati Press Club.

The action packed movie is a remake of Akira Kurosawa’s 1954 acclaimed Japanese film ‘Seven Samurai’. The movie has cinematography by Charles Lang and music by Elmer Bernstein.
