Here are the candidates from Assam who cleared UPSC

Guwahati, April 28: In another proud moment for the state, as many as 17 candidates from Assam have cleared the UPSC this year (2017-18).

Two candidates have made it to the top 100, securing the 41st and 64th rank.

The candidates who have qualified are:

  • Mrigakhi Deka (126)
  • Aranyak Saikia (148)
  • Purna Borah (149)
  • Nahor Pronay Prakash (199)
  • Monalika Borgohain (230)
  • Siddhant Das (267)
  • Sanket Agarwal (271)
  • Mamoni Doley (593)
  • Subhajit Bhuyan (645)
  • Bahni Telenga (661)
  • Partha Pratim Das (738)
  • Manoj Swargiary (795)
  • Bidisha Chintey (818)
  • Deepjoy Das (855)
  • Yashodhara Das (894)

It may be mentioned here that Bipasha Kalita had cleared ACS in 2016 and is presently serving in Nagaon as an Assistant Commissioner. Swapneel, who secured the 64th position is presently working in the Indian Revenue Service (IRS).

Partha Pratim Das, who secured the 738th rank, is presently serving as the Additional SP (Probation) of Sivasagar district. Monalika Borgohain (Rank: 230) is the grand daughter of renowned writer and journalist from Assam Homen Borgohain.
