Breaking | BJP files complaint against private FM channel for alleged objectionable advertisement

Guwahati, February 27: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has filed a complaint with the Election Commission of India (ECI) against private FM channel Radio Mirchi for allegedly broadcasting objectionable content.

The BJP has alleged that propaganda is being broadcast on Radio Mirchi (91.1 FM) and messages like “Don’t vote for anti-Christian party” is being promoted through the Radio.

The BJP has insisted that such messages which try to communalise the elections as well as the society need to be immediately stopped and actions to be taken against the channel as well as the advertiser(s).

The complaint has been submitted to the Commissioner Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya and the Chief Electoral Officer, Meghalaya.
