Bordumsa OC killed in Police-ULFA (I) clash

Tinsukia, May 05: The Officer-in-Charge of Bordumsa Police Station Bhaskar Kalita was killed in a Police-ULFA clash in the region last night.

A joint operation of Assam Police and CRPF was carried out under the leadership of Bhaskar Kalita, after information was received of around 10 ULFA (I) ultras taking shelter in a house at Bordumsa.

During the exchange of fire, two ULFA (I) cadres were also reportedly killed.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has offered his condolences to the bereaved family and also ordered a probe into the matter.
