Dibrugarh, May 08: Bohuwa Nach Utsav, a prominent festival of Sonowal Kachari community of Assam, was organised on May 07 at Naharoni in Dibrugarh.
The festival was organised as a part of the Assam Government’s effort to reach out to each an every community across the state and thus promoting traditions and heritage in order to create bonds of harmony in the state.
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal attended the festival.
Addressing the gathering, the CM said “In the last two years, prominent festivals of various communities have been organised centrally by the government for giving due respect to the people of Assam”. “This has lead to better understanding of our culture and strengthening of the spirit of brotherhood in Assam” he added.
