Shillong, October 17: Dr Jemino Mawthoh, MLA, Nongthymmai Constituency, today attended the second Ayurveda Day observation at a programme held at Rynjah RR Colony Community Hall, Shillong. The programme was organized by the Meghalaya State Ayush Society in the theme “Pain Management through Ayurveda”.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mawthoh said that with the introduction of Ayurveda treatment in the state, the people will have an alternative form of health care which will improve the overall health and well being of the people of Meghaaya.
The programme was also attended by Dr (Mrs) M Horoo, Joint Director of Health Services (MI), Dr BT Hinge, Ayurvedic Physician, Civil Hospital, Jowai, A Das, Secretary, RR Colony among others.
Other highlights of day included a talk on the theme by Dr T Khongwir, Ayurvedic Physician, AYUSH Drug Testing Laboratory and free medical consultations to patients.
