Assam’s Urmila Mahanta honoured in presence of Maharashtra CM for Padman

Mumbai, March 06: Assamese actress Urmila Mahanta was honoured for her role in recently released Akshay Kumar starrer film ‘PADMAN’ during the launch of Mission Prahar at MMRDA ground, BKC, Mumbai. It must be noted that the CM of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis, Bollywood star Raveena Tandon, ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad) National General Secretary Ashish Chauhan were also present during the event among others.

Urmila Mahanta spoke about the necessity of self defence and women’s personal safety during the launch ceremony. She also urged that the initiative is spread to the northeastern part of the country.

“It was a privilege for me to be honoured for the film and that too in the presence of such prominent personalities” Urmila said, in a rendezvous with Team UniTreed.
