Assam | Results of Gunotsav 3 declared

Guwahati, February 27: Assam Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today announce the results of the third phase of Gunotsav in Assam. 17,869 schools were evaluated in Gunotsav 3, out of which around 20% or 3,575 schools secured A+ grades. Around 40% (7,063) schools secured A grade, 4,903 (27%) schools were awarded B grade, 1,808 (10%) got C grade whereas 523 (3%) schools got D grade.

Out of 13 districts, Goalpara ranked first while Nalbari came second.

In the second phase of Gunotsav, 1,672 schools had secured A+ grade. The initiative of Gunotsav in the state is designed on the lines of Gunotsav in Gujarat, which was introduced by PM Narendra Modi during his tenure as the CM of Gujarat.

It must be noted that in the three phases of Gunotsav, the Government of Assam evaluated 48,966 schools with the following rankings:

  • 6,024 A+
  • 14,866 A
  • 14,056 B
  • 8,748 C
  • 5,272 D

The third phase of Gunotsav marked an improvement in the number of schools earning A+ grade with 20% schools securing A+ against 9% in the second phase and 6% in the first. Overall, majority schools got A grade.
