Assam, New Zealand to tie up to work in areas of mutual interest

Guwahati, March 01: New Zealand’s High Commissioner to India Joanna Kempkers gave a call to Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday this week at the his office chamber in Janata Bhawan, Guwahati. Both discussed areas of mutual interests like agriculture and food processing, tourism among others and pledged to work for the promotion of these sectors for the mutual benefits of both.

The CM held discussion with her on various areas of cooperation and exchanges. Kempkers also invited Sonowal to New Zealand.

Kempkers specifically vowed to help the Tourism sector of Assam, after she was awed  by the huge potential the state has in the sector. She had visited Manas National Park during her Assam tour.
