Assam | Medical Service beefed up with 95 more 108 ambulances

Guwahati, December 05: Assam Health Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma today launched 95 Mrityunjoy (108) to strengthen emergency medical services and last mile connectivity for health services. “We have beefed up our 108 Ambulance service Mrityunjoy with addition of 95 units, taking total number to 475” he said. He also informed that another 150 units will be added in the next two months.

The minister also called upon the joint directors of the health services, posted in district headquarters, to put up extra efforts to improve the work culture in the department from the health sub-centre level.

It must be noted that the 108 emergency service was introduced in Assam in 2008 and has served the people of Assam all these years.
