Assam flood | Centre releases Rs 340 crore for relief fund

Guwahati, June 26: The centre has released a relief fund of Rs 340 crore for flood-hit Assam, including Rs 239 crore under the National Disaster Relief Fund.

It may be mentioned here that the wave of flood has claimed 26 lives across the state so far.

Minister of State for DoNER Dr Jitendra Singh, during a press conference, informed that the central government is closely monitoring the flood situation in Assam. “We have assured the state government of providing all kinds of assistance” he added.
