Assam Flood | 63,000 still affected in five districts

Guwahati, July 02: As per latest reports of ASDMA (Assam State Disaster Management Authority), over 63,000 people are still affected by the floods across five districts in Assam.

The MeT Department has also forecast more rainfall across Assam in the coming days.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday assured Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal of all assistance from the Centre to tackle the situation.

Parts of Lakhimpur, Jorhat, Sivasagar, Charaideo and Karimganj are presently reeling under flood. The authorities are running 26 relief camps and distribution centres in the affected districts.

Death toll across the state has reached 32.
