Shillong, November 14: The 64th All India Cooperative Week Celebration 2017 under the main theme “Empowering people through Digitalisation of Cooperative” and sub theme “Good Governance and Professionalisation through Cooperative” was inaugurated today at Sajer Hall, Nongpoh by Meghalaya Cooperation Minister Roshan Warjri, in the presence of H Marwein, Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, among other dignitaries. The week long programme is being organized by the Cooperation Department, Government of Meghalaya along with the State Level Cooperative Federation.

She also suggested the organizer to showcase all the successful stories produced by the cooperative societies on every cooperative week celebration so as to inspire and encourage others.

Other highlights of the day include release of booklets and brochures on cooperative, handing over of mementos and certificates to State Bank of India Employees’ Consumer Cooperative Store Ltd. and to Bluevilda Sweetly as a Veteran Cooperator.
