Prokriti Purukho | A musical representation of Holi in Barpeta

Guwahati, March 08: Prokriti Purukho is a musical representation of Holi in Barpeta. Released on YouTube and created by Bhargav, this short video beautifully captures the festival of colours.

“This is how a Holigeet may sound in the near future, that’s what i think. I am always inspired by the festival of love and colours. The world is changing rapidly so my idea was to create this track and show that we can keep the composition part or the feel as it is with a different arrangement and sounds with eye catching visuals” says Bhargav in a rendezvous with Team UniTreed.

Bhargav, who hails from Howly in Barpeta District, says that he had a vision to show some quality content of Assamese culture and arts in a contemporary way for the internet on being asked why he zeroed in on Holi or Fakuwa, or Deul Utsav as it is known in Assam.

The video is shot at Barpeta – The Land of Satras, by Prabal Deep Das and Sam Manash Barman and production was managed by Manas Pathak.
