All the competitions were organised in both English and Assamese language.
It may be mentioned that these competitions amounted to the highest number of competitions organized by a Secretary (Abhijit Bora, Editor, ‘Cottonian’, CUSU).
Also, a unique competition was organised to heighten the creativity of the students – Handwritten Magazine competition – which received an amazing response with 15 entries from various departments and teams.
Abhijit Bora’s main aim was to elevate the level of literary competitions, which were among the the most ignored and limited competitions of the college/university week.
The purpose behind the video is similar, to preserve the history of the first University week of Cotton University
which the future generations may refer to.
Winners of all the competitions were given books and certificates. Also, the response from the students was overwhelming.
