d-Bar | No Alcohol, only Chilled Designs

Guwahati, January 16: d-Bar started with an idea of four college students, who went on a National College event. “The four of us, we were just sitting on the grass enjoying the winter sun in Jaipur when it struck us that the stall besides us was making a good amount of profis and also promoting their designing skills. The first thing we did when we came back to Guwahati was a research on all the existing similar companies, studying how and what we needed to start this thing” says co founder Divyanshu Agarwal in a rendezvous with Team UniTreed.

It was during the end of January, 2017 when the team, that comprises of Bangkeem Bhattacharya, Divyanshu Agarwal, Richik Baruah and Yogesh Mallick, decided to give it a shot. With a capital of Rs 20000/- (5000/-each), they put a stall in Royal Group of Institutions, Guwahati in their college fest, Consensio, held on the second week of February. “We took help of social media for advertisements and even informed all our friends and family members about it, well briefly though” says the team.

“The responses were good, people liked what we designed. Though we never made that much of profits, it was satisfactory” says Divyanshu.

d-Bar (design bar) deals with customized tshirts, flex and logo designing, architecture related 3D modelling, portraits and graffiti among designing works. At present, they take orders and cater the same but plan to expand their field in future.

It must be noted that they have designed for and catered with Assam Engineering College, Royal Group of Institutions, Guwahati College of Architecture, NITS Mirza, Mahamaya Ghee Company, to name a few.

“We, through d-Bar, aim to serve the youth with designs that they relate to and think of as trending” says the Team.
