Guwahati, March 15: Young actor Chandradittya Sharma’s fascination with movies and in particular, his manic obsession with the Shahensaah of Indian Cinema Amitabh Bachchan and the action hero of Assamese films Brajen Borah is well-known in the circles. He is also a huge fan of Zubeen Garg.
Not merely content with being just a fan or mimicking the artistes in public shows and functions, the star-struck Chandradittya has broadened his creative efforts to the world of writing. It is something that really consumed him with immense interest. His fascination with the lives of his idols resulted in authoring three biographies:
- Amitabh Bachchan : Biggest Star Of This World & Greatest Star Of The Millenium
- BrajenBorah : First Action Hero & Evergreen Superstar Of Assamese Films
- Zubeen Garg: The Living Legend
The books were recently released with a lot of enthusiasm by noted actor Brajen Borah, Brigadier Joshi, Director of Sainik Board, Salim Ahmed, President, Garia Chatra Parishad, actor Jagadish Sharma and Amardeep Paul, founder of NEEDS, at the Guwahati Press Club. The release programme was anchored by Akash Sur.
“An artiste should be honoured in his lifetime, and not after his death” said Brigadier Joshi, before adding that Chandradittya is perhaps the first young man to realise this truth.
“If you really care about your goals, you don’t have to be pushed. The vision, determination and dedication will pull you” said Brajen Borah, adding that there are no limits to what one can accomplish.
The book on Amitabh Bachchan encapsulates details of the superstar’s journey in Bollywood, his early struggle, his rise to superstardom post ‘Zanjeer’, his political debacle, his fiasco with ABCL and his comeback from the ashes with ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. The book also throws light on his off-screen works, including his contribution to various charities, foundations and causes.
His book on Brajen Borah is a story of courage and compassion in the face of trials and tribulations, disclosing some of the star’s unknown facts, including his spiritual leanings, steadfast devotion to revered saint Sai Saba, his fame post the success of ‘Sendur’ and ‘Jivan Surabhi’, and his descent into oblivion following the death of his actress wife Rimjhim Baruah.
Chandradittya’s book on Zubeen Garg reveals the singing sensation’s charitable deeds and social causes, his superstardom post the album ‘Anamika’, his chartbuster songs, numerous awards won by him, the songs sung by him, and of course, the controversies.
