This February, Trek into the Amazing Eagle’s Nest Pass

Guwahati, January 04: Situated in the Himalayan foothills of West Kameng district in Arunachal Pradesh, Eagle’s Nest Pass is an abode of Flora and Fauna and a paradise for Wildlife and Photography enthusiasts. Eagle’s Nest is a notable birding site of the Northeast as it is home to an extraordinary variety and number of species.

Mesmerisingly Beautiful, Right? Feeling the urge to visit as soon as possible? Not being able to plan it out? Well, we have the perfect solution for you.

WILD TRAIL, a self funded NPO to make people aware and educate about the necessity of the Nature and Wildlife Conservation in the Northeastern states of India, has organised a trek to this Paradise called Eagle’s Nest on February, 2018.

This trek to Eagle’s Nest Pass shall be a one day trek from Bugun Community Village; a total of 20 kms up and down, with relatively moderate level of difficulty with a complimentary trek to Trogopanda Lake (four hours up and down time, and moderate level of difficulty). A total of four days shall be spent during the trip, including two travel days, three nights stay in well-managed winter proof tents with complimentary food (food during travel days are not included). A Trek Guide shall also be present during the whole time.

Program details are as follows:

February 26: Pick up from Guwahati at 6:00 am (by Traveler or Tata Sumo) , Arrival at Eagle’s Nest WLS by 4:00 pm, evening tea, tent allocation (share basis; three individuals in one tent), trek brief, dinner and overnight stay in Lama Camp.

February 27: Morning tea, packed breakfast, trek to Trogopanda Lake, lunch, rest, evening bird watching near the camp, next day trek briefing, evening tea, dinner, overnight stay in Lama Camp.

February 28: Morning tea, quick breakfast, packed lunch, trek to the Eagle’s Nest Pass (around 10 kms, one way), lunch at pass, back to the camp by 5:00 pm, tea, dinner, overnight stay in Lama camp.

March 01: Morning tea, breakfast and back to Guwahati, arrival by 5:00 pm.

Not included: Food during travel days, forest entry fees (Rs 200/- per person, Rs 200/- per still camera and Rs 500/-per video camera + anything not mentioned above)
