Delhi, March 26: The Northeast Society of Miranda House is all set and welcomes everyone for the third installment of LEIRANG, the annual cultural fest of the society.
Leirang celebrates the culture and customs of the eight northeastern states of India. The aim of the fest is for student from other states to appreciate the traditions of the northeast. Primary attractions of the fest are the cultural program which includes performances by the students, showcasing their talent in dances and songs in their regional language and food stalls offering varieties of food from the northeast.
This year, the organisers have decided to add an informative aspect to the event. With this goal in mind, the guest of honour proposed is an esteemed scholar who has done extensive research in issues pertaining to northeast states.
The union members express their happiness to finalise March 28 as the date of LEIRANG 2018 and invites everyone for the success of the event.
Venue of the event is Miranda House, University of Delhi.

- STRANGERS NO MORE: A talk on new narratives and changing struggles in Northeast India by Dr Sanjoy Hazarika, Director of Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative.
