Trailer and Music of ‘Ajanite Mone Mone’- a film on Swachhata – released

Guwahati, January 18: The city today witnessed the launch of teaser, trailer and music release of the film “Ajanite Mone Mone” produced by Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), Assam and directed by noted film Director Upakul Bordoloi.

Hrishikesh Goswami, Media Advisor to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, released the teaser, trailer poster and music of the film at Madhavdev International Auditorium, Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, Guwahati. Noted dignitaries Dr Siddharth Singh, Mission Director, Saumya Kumar Baruah, Chief Engineer, PHE (Sanitation), Pratul Choudhury, State Co-ordinator, Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), Assam and VB Pyarelal, Additional Chief Secretary to the Govt. of Assam attended the event.

About the film: “Ajanite Mone Mone” is a full length Assamese film that revolves around the central theme of Sanitation. The film aims to strengthen the Swachh Bharat Mission movement by creating awareness among the masses and fulfil the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi towards complete Swachhata in India. Talking about the film, Director Upakul Bordoloi said “It is not a documentary, it is a full length feature film revolving around the central theme of Swachata Abhiyan”. Renowned actors like Sunita Kaushik, Raag Oinitom, Baharul Islam has acted in the movie. Zubeen Garg has lent his voice for one of the songs. The film is slated to release on March 09, 2018 in 45 theatres across Assam. He also requested everyone to watch the film.

Emphasizing on film as a medium to promote such causes, Dr Siddharth Singh said “This film exemplifies the seriousness of Swachh Bharat Mission and Assam in taking the message of Swachhata to the grassroot levels. Films are a fantastic medium to achieve this due to their huge audience base”. Agreeing on the same, VB Pyarelal added “Through this film, we aspire to achieve success in creating awareness amongst the masses about sanitation, hygiene and a clean environment.”
