Guwahati, September 14: ANGEEKAR Films today launched the master poster of the first full-length Assamese feature film on witch hunting, “Aei Maatite“. The film is releasing on 6th October 2017 in all major cinemas across Assam and North East. Nirangkush Nath has also acted in AEI MAATITE. The posters are designed by Tapan Das, a Guwahati-based graphic designer. Das has emphasised on the theme of Aei Maatite for its publicity appearance.
Releasing the master poster, SFI’s Nirangkush Nath said: “When Lahkar Sir approached me for acting in the film, I happily accepted it. Aei Maatite is not just a film. It is a struggle against witch hunting menace and a process to aware people about the effects of superstition. SFI believes that unless the student community comes out, it is very difficult to eliminate social evils like witch hunting.”
Commenting on the poster launch, Dr Lahkar said “We are gradually, step-by-step, approaching the big day of releasing the film on 6th October. This poster is a step closer to that direction. I am thankful to SFI for its support to Aei Maatite and to our endeavour for awareness against witch hunting problem.”
ANGEEKAR Films has received the clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (Censor Board) for Aei Maatite with a U/A certificate.
